Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said the talks with the
Taliban are moving forward in the right direction and the nation will
soon be given good news.
The prime minister stated this during a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at Raiwand on Sunday. They discussed the overall law and order situation of the Punjab.
The prime minister hoped that the dialogue process with the Taliban would bring about the desired results.He said that development of the country was connected with peace, which would be restored at all costs.
The premier directed the Punjab chief minister to improve the law and order situation of the province, adding that it was the first priority of the government.Shahbaz promised to ensure safety of every person.
He apprised the prime minister of developments into an investigation into threats given to PPP patron-in chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.The chief minister assured Nawaz of providing foolproof security to Bilawal Bhutto whenever he came to Punjab.
