PESHAWAR:
Government negotiation committee member, Rustam Shah Mohmand on Monday
said that the government has agreed to phase-wise release all those
prisoners against whom no evidence of their being involved in militancy
available.
Talking to Geo News representative, Shakil Farman Ali here, Rustam Shah said that Taliban and the government holding each other’s prisoners, however, both perhaps didn’t have readily available the exact number of their prisoners.
Rustam Shah said that besides the matter relating to the release of prisoners, dispensation of polio drops to children would also be discussed in the next meeting with Taliban Shura.
He further said that Taliban would be pursued for permanent ceasefire in a bid to cover all issues. With the environment of trust and confidence the dialogues could be held in nearby areas also, he said.
