Meera Chopra Uses PC's Name For Publicity?

Priyanka Chopra and Meera Chopra
Meera Chopra may be Priyanka's cousin but her murky past that included an affair with a married man whose wife was found dead under mysterious circumstances has prompted PC to keep a distance. However, Meera Chopra negates this and claims that they are close and share an 'emotional bonding'. "Priyanka and I are of same age. We are close," Meera said. With PC not warming up to these feelers, this looks more like Meera's ploy to garner publicity using her famous cousin's name.

Priyanka always concerned, supportive: Meera Chopra

Meera revealed that she was close to Priyanka but not to her another cousin actress Parineeti.
Meera revealed that she was close to Priyanka but not to her another cousin actress Parineeti.

Actress Meera Chopra has said her actress cousin Priyanka Chopra is always ready to help her in her Bollywood career and she shares “emotional bonding” with her.
Meera revealed that she was close to Priyanka but not to her another cousin actress Parineeti.
Ever since Meera, who has acted in several South films, wanted to work in Bollywood and there were reports of the sibling rivalry as both Priyanka and Parineeti used to snub her.
Parineeti even went on to say that Meera isn’t family but a distant relative.
Meera said Parineeti’s remarks against her are “unwarranted and stupid”.
“We all have been brought up together 20 years ago. We used to stay together. All brothers were close to each other before they split and brought up in different cities. Parineeti is young, Priyanka and I are of same age.. We are close,” Meera said.
“When she (Parineeti) talks like that… I think it is stupid… Why would you talk like that. It doesn’t disturb me as I don’t have any emotional connect with her. I don’t remember the time spent with her,” she said.
But if such statements would have come from Priyanka then it would have definitely bothered Meera as they share a close relationship.
Meera revels Priyanka was angry as to why she did not show her anything about her upcoming film ‘Gangs of Ghost’.

Priyank Chopra
It's official. Priyanka Chopra is starring in Madhur Bhandarkar's Madamji but not without a rider. The National Award-winning filmmaker will have to wait till mid-October before he can shoot with the actress even though he had planned to roll in May.

So what has made Priyanka delay the project? A source close to the film told Mirror, "Priyanka and Madhur had a meeting before she left to shoot the on-going schedule of the Mary Kom biopic. She told Madhur that she was bowled over by the script and definitely wants to be a part of the project, but there was a hitch."

Priyanka informed Madhur that she can only take up the role after she is done with Omung Kumar's Mary Kom and Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do. It will take her around seven months to wrap up the both the films.

"Priyanka wants do Madamji in one go since it is a challenging role. She doesn't want any distraction," the source added. So, Madhur is now planning a quickie to keep him busy for the next few months. He has decided to wrap up Calendar Girls, a moderate-budget film which Mirror had reported about on February 19, 2014.

No Deepika, but new girls for Madhur's next

"Calendar Girls needs only 55-56 days of shoot. The team has already set the stage for the first schedule. The cast will comprise mostly newcomers and Madhur will have to speed up the casting process." Madhur plans to flag off Calendar Girls sometime in April-May. The film will be shot in Spain and India.

Confirming this, Madhur told Mirror, "Priyanka and I are working on the schedule and other modalities for Madamji. But yes, I may make Calendar Girls first." Madamji is based on the life of an item girl-turned-politician and if all goes well, this will be the first time that Madhur will repeat an actress. His last film with Priyanka, Fashion, won her the National Award, among other honours.
