Ileana D’Cruz: Kareena and I bonded like sisters!

Ileana D’Cruz bonded with Kareena Kapoor while shooting for Happy Ending, which stars Kareena’s husband Saif Ali Khan. And she says she has great fun with the Pataudi Begum.
“We chill a lot together, go out for dinners and movies,” she beams. “We met on the sets of Happy Ending in LA and since then have bonded like long lost sisters.”
When asked about her upcoming film Main Tera Hero, she says “I’ve always been fond of masala entertainers and my filmography down South is a testimony to that.  Kareena, 33, feels Karisma is lucky to have a toned body.

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan feels her elder sister Karisma looks younger than any contemporary female stars today.
“She (Karisma) has two kids, but she doesn’t look like a mother of two. She looks younger than any Bollywood actress even today. She is the most beautiful girl as her heart is of gold. When you see her she looks radiant as ever,” Kareena told PTI.
Kareena, 33, feels Karisma is lucky to have a toned body.
“She has very toned body and she is genetically blessed. I am more of a Kapoor, but she is more like my mother,” Kareena said.
The ‘Jab We Met’ star said she might also open her own fashion label after being the face of many fashion labels.
“It is not a plan or thought in my mind as of now. May be yes, sometime later,” she added.

Did Kareena ask Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Mastani role?

Did Kareena ask Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Mastani role?
Kareena Kapoor Khan

While Deepika Padukone has been finalised in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's dream project, Bajirao Mastani, buzz is that Kareena Kapoor Khan had expressed her eagerness to play the female protagonist. The epic love story revolves around Peshwa Bajirao, an early 18th century Maratha general and Mastani, the beautiful and brave woman who became his second wife. And the filmmaker has been planning to make it for over a decade now.

Apparently, Bhansali isn't too keen to cast Kareena. More so after she opted out of Ram-Leela when construction work of his sets had already reportedly begun. Eventually, he cast Deepika Padukone instead as Leela opposite Ranveer Singh's Ram. Now that the film has become a hit, the filmmaker is more eager to cast his Deepika again in Bajirao Mastani. And industry talk is that he has conveyed to Kareena that while she can't be his Mastani, he can offer her the supporting part of Kashibai, Bajirao's first and older wife. Predictably, Bebo is said to have declined the role. Now, reports claim that Priyanka Chopra, who is playing Mary Kom in the biopic produced by Bhansali, has been cast as Kashibai.

Interestingly, Bhansali and Kareena have fallen out earlier too. The first time, she was upset when he cast Aishwarya Rai as Paro in his visually extravagant Devdas. Then he was angry with her for taking up Kyun Ki opposite Salman Khan, when he was planning to cast them together in Bajirao Mastani. Guess after she left Ram-Leela he is too upset with her to sign her up as his leading lady again.

Kareena Kapoor: I do not regret rejecting ‘Queen, Ram-Leela’

Actress Kareena Kapoor doesn't feel disheartened about her projects getting delayed or things not working out the way she wants them to, and has indeed started taking them in her stride.
Two of Kareena's most talked-about films, Karan Johar's home production 'Shuddhi' and 'Bombay Samurai' opposite Farhan Akhtar are stuck for some reasons. In case of 'Shuddhi', the project derailed due to lead actor Hrithik Roshan's health issues, forcing Kareena to walk out of the venture.
'Bombay Samurai' got delayed apparently as the production house (Excel Entertainment) is busy with other project with Shah Rukh Khan.

The film was initially supposed to go on floors this month but now it will happen post September, contrary to reports that it is delayed to next year.
"I have left 'Shuddhi', I am not part of it anymore. I am not at all disheartened about it. It ('Bombay Samurai' getting delayed) gives me more time for myself and to holiday... I am married now I am not running a relay marathon now. I don't know why the press makes such a big deal about it," Kareena told in an exclusive interview here.
"After 'Singham 2', we will shoot for 'Bombay Samurai'. It (film) needs international crew so we will begin (to) work on it post September," she said, adding that shooting for 'Singham 2' will start from March 25.
When asked about her refusal to projects like 'Queen', 'Ram-Leela', 'Chennai Express', 'Fashion', 'Kal Ho Na Ho', 'Black' and others which subsequently went to other actresses, Kareena said she did not regret her decision.
"I feel honoured and glad to give work to other people. I hope they (actresses) become stars as I have rejected big films," she said.
When asked about her criteria for picking a film, Kareena said she wanted to be related to the project and big banner is secondary.
"I am looking for films that I want to be part of... something that excites me. I listen to about two stories a day but I am not going to say yes to anyone, no matter who it is. I don't think whether that person is big (filmmaker) or not. I will go by the script and that is more important for me and I have learnt that over the years," Kareena added.
