Salman Khan's body double injured while filming Kick in Delhi

Salman Khan's body double injured while filming Kick in Delhi
Salman Khan

When you'll watch the high-octane chase between Salman Khan and Randeep Hooda in Sajid Nadiadwala's forthcoming film Kick, if you don't read this, little will you know what happened to the guy who kicked off the scene for Salman.

This guy, who goes by just his first name Ajay in the industry, landed himself in the hospital with serious facial injuries. The incident happened in Delhi last week.

Nadiadwala had rented a row house near a railway track. Ajay (one of Salman's body doubles) was supposed to jump from the first floor of the house onto the railway track. The scene then required Salman (not Ajay) to get onto a moving train with Randeep Hooda (who plays a cop) close on his heels. Ajay went through the sugar glass (a brittle transparent form of sugar used in place of glass) but the timing went wrong and many broken pieces of the glass pierced his face.

Salman and Nadiadwala both rushed to Ajay and the latter immediately arranged for a car to drive him to a hospital. The shooting was called off for the day.

"Salman has four body doubles specialising in different kinds of action for Kick as the movie has several deadly stunts. It would be foolish for Salman to risk his life all the time. What happened was unfortunate," an eyewitness told Mirror.

Till the time of going to the press, Ajay had not returned to the sets. Mirror has learnt that the scene was wrapped up the next day by one of the other three body doubles working on the film.

Is Salman Khan not backing Armaan Kohli’s Bollywood comeback?

Is Salman Khan not backing Armaan Kohli’s Bollywood comeback?

The former Bigg Boss contestant’s Bollywood comeback seems to have hit a rough patch

Rumour had it that Armaan Kohli was to star as Salman Khan’s brother in Sooraj Barjatya’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. However, it looks like those were just rumours as now we hear that Mr Kohli was never offered this project. Apparently, Bollywood’s own naukri.com (Salman Khan) had suggested to Barjatya that Armaan be included in the project. But it seems that the filmmaker didn’t pay any heed to Sallu’s request at all.
“Salman did suggest that Armaan be included in the film, but there was nothing beyond that. Some overzealous people went ahead and announced that Armaan was essaying the role of Sallu’s brother in the film,” a source was quoted by a tabloid.
Prem Ratan Dhan Payo will go on floors in May and the cast includes Salman along with Sonam Kapoor, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Anupam Kher, Swara Bhaskar, Deepak Dobriyal and Samira Rao. Yes, the official star cast doesn’t include Mr Kohli’s name in it. “Sooraj Barjatya did not approach him for any role. Armaan has not even spoken to anyone at the production house. He only knew that Salman had recommended his name. He was taken aback when the news came out,” a source close to Armaan said.
As you will know, Armaan doesn’t have a Bollywood career to boast about. Having all flop films in his resume, the man surely needed a good comeback to look at a fresh lease of life in B-Town. And there is no denying that a movie with Sallu would have done wonders for him. But looks like the lady luck (Tanishaa Mukherji) is not proving to be so lucky for Mr Kohli.

Salman May Marry Lulia by Year End?

Salman Khan and Lulia Vantur
We hear that Bollywood's most eligible bachelor, Salman Khan is getting a bit too tired of his single status. We hear that he recently dropped quite a broad hint that he might marry Lulia Vantur by the end of this year. Speaking at a recent event, he said, "Now I'm in transit period and I like it. From the age of 15, I did not get a transit period. For the first time, I have such a chance to sigh. I am sighing more since it has been two-and-a-half years. It's time to stop sighing because something soon will happen in my life."

I try not to disappoint Salman Khan: Pulkit Samrat

Salman Pulkit
Salman Khan is Pulkit Samrat's mentor in the industry.

Newcomer Pulkit Samrat says he tries his best not to disappoint superstar Salman Khan, who is his mentor in the industry.
“…He is a rock star, the best human being I have ever met. I truly love and respect him as a person. His contribution is great (towards my film career), his belief in me as an actor is something I could have never thought of,” Pulkit, 30, told PTI in an interview here.
“His support means a lot to me. I do feel nervous at times about disappointing him. I try not to let his expectations down,” he added.
Pulkit, who played a cop in Salman-starrer ‘Jai Ho’, did manage to get noticed alongside the ‘Dabangg’ star in the action film, which released in January.
“It was a great learning experience. I started my journey in this industry through TV. I never assisted anyone. So I never had the opportunity to understand and read how a star works. I am glad that with ‘Jai Ho’ I got the opportunity to witness this,” he said.
The ‘Fukrey’ star said he is currently going through many interesting scripts. “It is an exciting period I am reading several scripts,” he said.
The actor, who made his debut in Bollywood with ‘Bittoo Boss’, appeared next in ‘Fukrey’ and ‘Jai Ho’. His upcoming film ‘O Teri’ is produced by Salman’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri.
When asked if he landed ‘O Teri’ because of his relation with Salman, Pulkit said, “I am thankful to bhai (as Salman is fondly called) and Atul to support this film. To do a film that is supported by them is a dream come true. It was bhai who first took the narration and then Atul and Alvira”.
“He was concerned what kind of work was coming my way after ‘Bittoo Boss’ and ‘Fukrey’. When I told him about this film (‘O Teri’) he wanted to hear the script, he liked it and eventually things fell in place,” he added.
Salman, who did a cameo in ‘O Teri’, was well aware about the plot of the film and was very much involved with the project.
In ‘O Teri’, Pulkit will be playing the role of a journalist. He went to Delhi to understand the functioning of media offices as a part of the research for his role.
Directed by Umesh Bist, the film has been produced by Salman’s sister Alvira and her husband Atul Agnihotri.
The film which also stars newcomer Bilal Amrohi, besides Anupam Kher and Sarah Jane Dias, is slated to release on March 28.

Salman Khan hints at marriage this year to Romanian beauty Iulia Vantur

Salman Lulia
Salman Khan said, “It's time to stop sighing because something soon will happen in my life.”

Superstar Salman Khan has hinted at a possibility of getting hitched by the end of this year as he is tired of being single for a long time.
The 48-year-old ‘Jai Ho’ star did not rule out the chances of marrying Romanian beauty Iulia Vantur, whom he is allegedly dating for quite sometime.
“Now I’m in transit period and I like it. From the age of 15, I did not get a transit period. For the first time, I have such a chance to sigh. I am sighing more since it has been two-and-a-half years. It’s time to stop sighing because something soon will happen in my life…

“I follow humanity. I follow Islam, Christianity, and follow right thing as much I can. I have been kind of blessed. Father is Pathan, mother is Hindu, second mother is catholic, and brother-in-law is Punjabi. Wife, I am thinking to bring from outside…,” Salman said.
Salman has often been linked with his co-stars and also being termed as a ‘possessive’ boyfriend. He admitted that he was a miserable lover but a great friend.
“When you are in a relationship you try everything to see that she doesn’t leave you. You try to be good. You give her a silent treatment. You yell, cry and when nothing works you say go.
“I thought they were the most correct people for me… Great girls bad boyfriend. I have not been like the most incredible boy friend. I could be the friend and I have heard this from the ex girlfriends also that (he is) a great friend but miserable boyfriend,” Salman said.
The actor also thanked his parents – father Salim Khan and mothers Sushila Charak Khan and Helen – for being with him at his worst times.
“No child would have given them as may problems. I was a naughty kid. They had to hear slanderous things about their son from others – the jail episodes, the cases that have come. If these things would not have come, my father and mother would have looked as young as I look now,” he said

AHMED KHAN SELECTS SALMAN OVER HRITHIK

Ahmed Khan selects Salman over Hrithik Hrithik Roshan is currently shooting for ‘Bang Bang’ in Delhi and the actor had to shoot a song sequence out there, but at the end moment choreographer Ahmed Khan opted out of the film.

According to the reports, Ahmed Khan opted out of the project because of Salman Khan starrer ‘Kick’. The director of the film ‘Bang Bang’, Siddharth Anand, asked Ahmed to select one film, ‘Bang Bang’ or ‘Kick’ and the choreographer opted for Salman Khan’s film and said no to Hrithik’s film. Ahmed has been replaced with Bosco-Ceasar who have already flown to Delhi.

A source close to the film reveals, "Ahmed's dates went haywire because the schedule of ‘Kick’ got extended by two days and ate into the dates allotted to ‘Bang Bang’. A few days ago, Siddharth called him up and they had a long chat. He asked Ahmed why he had not made it to Delhi yet. The conversation ended with Siddharth telling Ahmed that he needs to take a call immediately."

Ahmed decided to be a part of ‘Kick’

"He had huge differences with Salman during the making of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. Only recently, they patched up with Sajid playing mediator. Moreover, he couldn't have left a Salman-Jacqueline song midway when both were in the mood to improvise. That's the reason the ‘Kick’ song needed two extra days to complete," added the source.

Confirming the news, Ahmed said, "Yes, I am out of ‘Bang Bang’ after choreographing a song for the film. It was a tough call but I decided to continue with ‘Kick’."

Newcomer Pulkit Samrat has said superstar Salman Khan, known for promoting newbies, has got the “Midas touch” and is proving to be a great mentor for him.
“His (Salman’s) backing will definitely help me. Salman has got midas touch, if he is touching us (our work as actors) we must have done some good work. I feel very fortunate that he trusted me to play this character in ‘O Teri’”, Pulkit told PTI in an interview.

Rabiya Accuses Salman of Sheltering a Murderer

Salman Khan and Jiah Khan
Actress Jiah Khan's mother Rabiya's lawyer claims that they have "recorded conversations of the witnesses" and the result indicates that it was not a case of "suicide". Rabiya on Saturday moved the Bombay High Court once again alleging that Jiah was murdered and had not committed suicide. She wanted a Special Investigating Team to probe the case.

"We have recorded conversations of the witnesses and it is different from the statement recorded by the police. For the last four months, we have been doing investigation and sting operations personally. The result in the material collected by us indicates it is not a case of suicide," Dinesh Tiwari, Rabiya's lawyer, told IANS.

"The injury marks indicate it cannot be a case of suicide and nobody has any explanation on this. Now the current status is that we have filed a petition in the high court,” he added.

Jiah was found hanging in her Juhu flat late on June 3, 2013. An FIR was registered against Suraj, son of actors Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab, on charges of abetment. The high court later granted him bail.

"Movie stars like Salman sheltering the murderers, where is the God's fear and being human all for the front shame on him," Rabiya posted on Twitter this mornin

Salman Stirs up Trouble For Jacqueline?

Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez
Jacqueline Fernandez almost got kicked out of Ranbir Kapoor's Roy. The director and the makers of the film were considering a replacement for Jacqueline after Salman Khan’s Kick cut into dates and created problems.
Jacqueline is currently shooting for Vikram Singh's Roy as well as Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick. However, Kick's call sheet has gone beyond the pale, clashing with Roy's shooting date.

Ranbir is doing Bombay Velvet and is shooting in Srilanka. Although, the shooting dates for Ranbir and Jacqueline were coinciding, it seemed like Jacqueline has to wait until further response from Salman regarding the movie schedule.

"Ranbir has to shoot for around 20 days for Roy. He had allotted the dates to Vikram, and they were in sync with Jacqueline's. But Kick's schedule has gone haywire and is now eating into these dates. That created some amount of panic since it’s not easy getting RK’s dates," said a source to a leading Tabloid.

Added the source, "But Salman is a moody star and there's a possibility that Roy will have to wait till June for Jacqueline. That's cutting it a little too fine since the film's release is scheduled for September."

Roy's director Vikram, Ranbir and the makers of the film had an unplanned meeting, discussing costumes, nature of the character and the delay in the film to boot.

The source revealed, "They were even contemplating a replacement for Jacqueline." However, Vikram was reluctant to reveal any details and said that Jacqueline will be a part of the film. The source further added that the director will soon be having a meeting with Kick's producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala and will sort this out amicably.

Sonam Kapoor will be Salman Khan's heroine in Sooraj Barjatya's film

Sonam Kapoor will be Salman Khan's heroine in Sooraj Barjatya's film
Sonam worked with Salman in her debut film Saawariya
Actress Sonam Kapoor's career has never before been in a better space. Proof of her escalating equity lies in her latest acquisition - Sooraj Barjatya's next film.

The actress has put an end to months of speculation regarding who would play the lead with Salman Khan in the latest Barjatya saga.

"I was in negotiations with Sooraj-ji for the last four months. We've finally worked out all the modalities. And, yes I am doing the film. I'll be getting into the film as soon as I finish shooting Arbaaz Khan's Dolly Ki Doli," Sonam said.

With Sonam stepping into Barjatya's film, the project finally seems to have found its bearings. One hears Sonam would be presented in the film as a typical Barjatya heroine a la Bhagyashree in Maine Pyar Kiya, Madhuri Dixit in Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Karisma Kapoor in Hum Saath Saath Hain, Kareena Kapoor in Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon and Amrita Rao in Vivaah.

After delivering an impressive performance in Aanand Rai's Raanjhanaa last year, Sonam says she is excited about the new challenge.

"I've grown up watching Sooraj-ji's films. To be actually working in his film is a very exciting prospect for me. It's double exciting as I'll get to star with Salman Khan for the second time," said the 28-year-old.

Sonam started her career with Salman in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya. She recalls the association with much fondness.

"People seem to remember that I was paired with Ranbir Kapoor in Saawariya. They forget my character was actually in love with Salman's character. In fact, my character chose to go with Salman rather than Ranbir in the end. Salman and I had shot together for Saawariya

image
According to IBTimes Bollywood superstar Salman Khan wants to rope in Deepika Padukone in his forthcoming film, despite its director Kabir Khan wanting his ex-flame Katrina Kaif in the lead.
The director has already worked with Kaif two times before in the films ‘New York’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and is gearing up for third release, ‘Phantom’ which will feature the ‘Dhoom 3’ actress opposite Saif Ali Khan.
Meanwhile, Kabir has expressed his will to work with Kaif again and reunite his “magical” pair of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ in his forthcoming directorial venture.
But Bollywoodlife.com reveals the ‘Jai Ho’ star is in more favour to rope in Padukone, after failing to work with her in Sooraj Barjatya's next film. It was rejected by the ‘Chennai Express’ actress due to her busy date diary, which already has three films in the pipeline including ‘Happy New Year’, ‘Finding Fanny Fernandes’ and ‘Window Seat’.
