Jacqueline Fernandez almost got kicked out of Ranbir Kapoor's Roy. The director and the makers of the film were considering a replacement for Jacqueline after Salman Khan’s Kick cut into dates and created problems.
Jacqueline is currently shooting for Vikram Singh's Roy as well as Sajid Nadiadwala's Kick. However, Kick's call sheet has gone beyond the pale, clashing with Roy's shooting date.
Ranbir is doing Bombay Velvet and is shooting in Srilanka.
Although, the shooting dates for Ranbir and Jacqueline were coinciding,
it seemed like Jacqueline has to wait until further response from Salman
regarding the movie schedule.
"Ranbir has to shoot for around 20 days for Roy. He had allotted the dates to Vikram, and they were in sync with Jacqueline's. But Kick's
schedule has gone haywire and is now eating into these dates. That
created some amount of panic since it’s not easy getting RK’s dates,"
said a source to a leading Tabloid.
Added the source, "But Salman is a moody star and there's a possibility that Roy
will have to wait till June for Jacqueline. That's cutting it a little
too fine since the film's release is scheduled for September."
Roy's director Vikram, Ranbir and the makers of the film had
an unplanned meeting, discussing costumes, nature of the character and
the delay in the film to boot.
The source revealed, "They were even contemplating a replacement for
Jacqueline." However, Vikram was reluctant to reveal any details and
said that Jacqueline will be a part of the film. The source further
added that the director will soon be having a meeting with Kick's producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala and will sort this out amicably.
