Indian PM says Modi making unrealistic promises

UTTAR PRADESH: India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday said main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, was making unrealistic promises to the people.

Addressing a public rally in northern town of Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh, Singh said the BJP campaign was centered only on Modi.

"Their election campaign is centered on a person. He is making tall claims, which has no basis, and he is making such promises that cannot be fulfilled."

Singh also said the BJP's manifesto was divisive. "If you look at the BJP manifesto, you would realise that there is no difference in their old agendas to divide the society."

The election to choose members to the 543-seat Lok Sabha, or House of the People, is spread over five weeks in nine separate phases and ends on May 12. Results would be announced on May 16.

Adele’s songs accused of making people gay

Adele
Adele is on a list of things that "men should avoid if they want to be straight".
Oscar-winning singer Adele is accused of turning people gay with her music in a TV documentary.
The 25-year-old singer is on a list of things that “men should avoid if they want to be straight”, reported Daily Star.
Doctor Christian Jessen, 37, made the bizarre discovery in Channel 4′s ‘Cure Me I’m Gay’, which sees him visiting the States to test several therapies.
Retired doctor John Smid from Texas offers rehab and orders him to strip his life of things that encourage him to be gay.
In the documentary, Jessen said, “Adele is very popular within the gay community. You have to listen to Christian music.”
Jessen also said that he is shocked that people still think that being gay is a curable condition and that it’s a load of utter rubbish.
