Arrogant Bebo Insults Deepika, Kangna

Bebo's Gori Tere Pyaar Mein may have failed and she might have walked out of Shuddhi, but she has a streak of arrogance that stays. When asked if she had regretted saying no to films that went on to become blockbusters like Queen, Ram-Leela, Chennai Express, Fashion, Kal Ho Na Ho, Black and others she arrogantly retorted "I feel honoured and glad to give work to other people. I hope they (actresses) become stars as I have rejected big films."

Will Deepika Celebrate Holi With Ranveer?

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone says that Holi is one of her favourite festivals and she remembers the time when she was a kid and played colours with friends.

"Holi has been one of my favorite festivals since childhood. Playing Holi with my friends from my building after coming back from school is one of my favorite childhood Holi memories. Preparations for the festival would start at least a week before," Deepika told IANS.

The actress, who delivered four back-to-back hits Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and Race 2 in 2013, is currently shooting for Happy New Year. She is looking forward to celebrate the festival with the cast of the film this year.

"This year I will be shooting for my film Happy New Year. It's a fun bunch and I’m sure celebrating Holi on the set will be a lot of fun," she said. Deepika, who is known for her beautiful skin, also keeps a check on her beauty regime around Holi.

"During Holi, I am concerned about my hair the most. Applying a coconut based hair oil acts as a protective layer for my hair against the colours and the summer heat. I tie my hair in a side braid or a messy pony tail. Also I make sure to keep myself hydrated," said the actress.

"Playing Holi can be exhausting. When I return home, I like to pamper myself with a coconut based hair oil massage and a cup of hot coffee," she added.

Deepika, Salman are fitness icons: Jacqueline Fernandez

Actress Jacqueline Fernandez, who is fitness conscious herself, believes Deepika Padukone and Salman Khan are the greatest fitness icons of the Hindi film industry.

While Jacqueline worked with Deepika in "Race 2" last year, she will be seen opposite superstar Salman in Sajid Nadiadwala's "Kick".

"I think a great icon or inspiration for fitness is Deepika Padukone," Jacqueline said here in an interview.

"Since I have worked with her, I have seen how dedicated she is to her fitness regime, how she works out in the gym, how healthy she is and what healthy food she eats," she added.

Among the male actors, Jacqueline feels Salman and John make for great fitness icons.

"Among the actors, I feel John Abraham and Salman Khan are dedicated to their fitness and they are extremely healthy," the 28-year-old said.

Currently, Jacqueline is shooting for "Kick" and she said that she keeps getting fitness tips from Salman during the shoot.

Ayan doesn't want to be left alone with Deepika, Katrina

 
Director Ayan Mukherji says that Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif would be the last two film actresses between whom he would like to be stuck on a deserted island.
Ayan said this in response to a query from filmmaker Karan Johar in the rapid fire round on his popular chat show 'Koffee with Karan'.
This episode of the talk show will be aired on coming Sunday on Star World, where Ayan would be joined by cousin and actress Kajol Devgn.
Deepika was previously in a relationship with Ayan's good actor-friend Ranbir Kapoor while Katrina is rumoured to be his current girlfriend.

During the chat when Karan further quizzed Ayan on these two leading ladies, the young director mostly picked up Katrina in his responses.
To 'An actress you think is sexy', Ayan said Katrina.
On who would score highest if Katrina, Kareena and Deepika took an IQ test, Ayan thought Katrina would lead.
On another question -- Deepika, Katrina or Kareena-- the most stunning girl, the answer was Katrina.
Further when Karan asked him - 'If you were to make biopics on these two people what would you name them' ? Ayan replied, On Deepika Padukone - 'The girl with the broken heart' and on Katrina, 'The Girl who Tried'.

Aamir Khan to pair with Deepika Padukone?

Though Deepika Padukone's wish of working with superstar Salman Khan did not work out, the Bollywood diva is not complaining. If reports are to be believed, the pretty actress will soon work with Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan for a movie.

A Filmfare report says that Aamir and Deepika might be soon paired with each other for a movie to be produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment. Further to reports, though the filmmakers are secretive about the project, Deepika is already on a high and has agreed to do the film with Aamir.

With the most talented actor being paired with the top heroine of Bollywood, this movie will definitely rock the box-office.

Ranbir Made Deepika Cry a Lot

Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor’s affair made headlines for quite a while and so did their high profile break-up. Deepika Padukone Defends Her Bodyguard

Deepika Padukone had hired Ronit Roy's security agency for her protection and the guards keep changing every few months. Recently, when she was shooting on the sets of Chennai Express, she had a regular bodyguard. However, after he met with an accident and fractured his leg, he had stopped coming and was replaced by a new guard. Yet, Deepika was concerned about him and ensured that he received proper medical treatment.

 

"She doesn't like to talk about all these things. She feels that everyone should take care of the ones who take care of you. When this incident happened, she inquired about his well-being and also gave monetary support," a source close to her said to Deccan Chronicle.

DEEPIKA IS BIG B’S DAUGHTER IN ‘PIKU’

Shoojit Sircar, who last directed ‘Madras Cafe’ is all set to start rolling for his next directional venture 'Piku'.

The backdrop of the flick will be the relationship between a father and a daughter. The father’s role will be played by megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone will be seen playing the role of his daughter.

This will be for the second time, when Deepika will play the role of Big B’s daughter. In Prakash Jha’s ‘Aarakshan’ also Deepika had portrayed the character of Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter.

‘Piku’ also stars Irrfan Khan in a prominent role and the shooting of the film is slated to start this July.

Actor Ranveer Singh who has been linked with his 'Ram Leela' co-star Deepika Padukone for a while, kept parrying questions on his rumoured affair with the actress during an interaction with media here on his film 'Gunday' and asked them to focus on the upcoming release. Deepika, who turned 28 on January 5 apparently spend her birthday with Ranveer and the couple was spotted together in New York.

Last evening, when Ranveer turned up for the press conference of ' Gunday', the media kept asking questions about Deepika and their reported outing together. For a while, Ranveer stayed mum and let his 'Gunday' co-star Arjun Kapoor and director Ali Abbas do the speaking. Both answered the constant queries on Ranveer's behalf sportingly.

Ranveer too took some questions on romance and said, "Love is truly in the air I am in love with my team and releasing the film on the day of love. I am proud of my team."
But when the media kept badgering him on his personal life, the exasperated actor said, "Focus on 'Gunday'."
"It is action drama film... YRF is producing it, starring Arjun, Priyanka and myself and is directed by Ali Abbas. It releases on February 14... do come and watch it. Next question please."
However when curious reporters refused to relent, he seemed to lose his cool and asked, "What is this happening, is this the 'Gunday' film press conference or my interrogation."
Recently, Deepika too evaded questions on Ranveer on Karan Johar's chat show 'Koffee with Karan' when she was asked about her supposed boyfriend and instead asked, "Am I dating him?".

Deepika Padukone has worked with an array of big names; from her debut seven years ago with Shah Rukh Khan to other popular actors like Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.

The actress has since risen to the top of the box-office charts, with four back-to- back hits in 2013--Race 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express, and Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. But her wish-list of co-stars is still a long one.


"Every year I am asked which Bollywood actor I would like to work with now. I hope in the next one or two years I will get to work with Hrithik, Salman and Aamir," Deepika, had told the media at her success party which she hosted at a Worli hotel on December 21.

If all goes well, one of her three wishes is on the verge of being fulfilled. Buzz is, Deepika will star with Aamir in a film, which will be produced by Excel Entertainment, a production house helmed jointly by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. Aamir had attended Deepika's bash with his wife Kiran Rao and the two had stayed for a long time.

The makers of the project are keeping the details strictly guarded. Ritesh Sidhwani denied the development. But TOI has it that the shooting is likely to commence from July/August this year.

Incidentally, this movie will be Aamir and Deepika's second outing with Excel. While Aamir has done Talaash for the company two years ago, Deepika was paired with Farhan in Karthik Calling Karthik in 2010.

Salman chooses Deepika over Katrina for Kabir Khan’s next?

According to IBTimes Bollywood superstar Salman Khan wants to rope in Deepika Padukone in his forthcoming film, despite its director Kabir Khan wanting his ex-flame Katrina Kaif in the lead.

The director has already worked with Kaif two times before in the films ‘New York’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and is gearing up for third release, ‘Phantom’ which will feature the ‘Dhoom 3’ actress opposite Saif Ali Khan.

Meanwhile, Kabir has expressed his will to work with Kaif again and reunite his “magical” pair of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ in his forthcoming directorial venture.

But Bollywoodlife.com reveals the ‘Jai Ho’ star is in more favour to rope in Padukone, after failing to work with her in Sooraj Barjatya's next film. It was rejected by the ‘Chennai Express’ actress due to her busy date diary, which already has three films in the pipeline including ‘Happy New Year’, ‘Finding Fanny Fernandes’ and ‘Window Seat’.

Sonam Kapoor: I don’t have power like Anushka and Deepika

According to the Press Trust of India Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor expressed her admiration for Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma's work, saying they are doing "amazing" job.

The Press trust of India quoted Sonam as saying, “I think Deepika and Anushka do that (profit share). I am happy for my colleagues…they are doing fine work. I am proud of them…it is amazing. I don’t have the power (like them). Changes are coming in the industry and it is a good thing.”

The 28-year-old actress, who will next be seen in ‘Bewakoofiyaan’, admitted the portrayal of women in Bollywood is changing and directors are offering better and more meaning roles to them.

“Today in films the kind of roles and films are written for women is good. I am too getting good roles,” she added.

‘Bewakoofiyaan’ is romantic comedy which is being directed by Nupur Asthana and being produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. The film will feature Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead opposite Kapoor.

It is slated to release on March 14^th, 2014.
