Aamir, Hrithik, Sunny are living on rent

Aamir, Hrithik, Sunny are living on rent
Aamir Khan

Living in the city on rent used to be a problem best reserved for TV actors and Bollywood strugglers. But with real estate prices in the maximum city shooting through the roof steadily, even the biggest names in the business are now picking up properties on rent, even temporarily.

AAMIR KHAN Where: Two floors in Freeda, One on Carter Road, right next to Naivedya, a bungalow that belongs to a close relative of Amitabh Bachchan and not the Bachchans themselves as was earlier rumoured to be the case. Did you know? Aamir's current residence has an enviable view of the sea.

HRITHIK ROSHAN Where: A floor in Prime Beach, Juhu, the buiding in which Akshay Kumar has several flats and his office. Did you know? Hrithik's apartment, still in the process of being done up, has the best view of Juhu Beach. You can see the waves hitting the shores close enough. The actor's estranged wife Sussanne and their two sons are staying in a home near Seven Bungalows, Versova for a killer rent.

SACHIIN JOSHI Where: A fancy apartment (pool included) with an adjoining terrace in one of the best buildings in Pali Hill.

IMTIAZ ALI Where: Highway filmmaker, Imtiaz Ali stays on rent in Raheja Classique, somewhat diagonally opposite where his wife Preeti and their daughter stay in a building complex. Did you know? When Saif Ali Khan moved out of his bungalow after he divorced Amrita Singh and was dating Roza Catalano, he stayed on rent in the same area.

SUNNY LEONE Where: She is staying on rent in Celina Jaitly's apartment in Versova. Did you know? Tired of staying at hotels, she and her husband Daniel Weber found this place suited to their temperament and their need for privacy.

Shilpa Shetty To Imitate Aamir Khan?

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra
Shilpa Shetty's upcoming TV show Sone Ka Dil is about the lives of the heroes who have helped others in need and will also help to throw light on social causes. Shilpa will not only host the show, but will also produce it along with her husband Raj Kundra.

Sounds remarkably similar to Aamir's show Satyamev Jayate? "The creative team has conducted extensive research; and Shilpa will soon shortlist a few unsung heroes fro m across the country. These are people who have helped the underprivileged. One cannot deny the fact that this show shares some similarities with Aamir Khan's show, Satyamev Jayate," a leading tabloid Mid-Day quoted a source as saying.

A crew-member however denies it, saying that Soney Ka Dil will be completely different. "Apart from discussing social problems, our show will honour the person who has worked for people's betterment; we are looking at giving them gold medals/coins. We will also promote the NGO, and both Shilpa and Raj will be donating money from their own foundation as well," said the team-member to Mid-Day.

Shilpa and Raj Kundra have always been known to cash in on popular trends (IPL, Super Fight League) so it's not surprising that they have jumped on to the social cause bandwagon as well!

"Social media is also such where people can spread any information anonymously. I feel sad. I am trying to do my bit, but I know our janata (people) know what's true. They have been seeing me and my work for 25 years. They know what's right," he added..

Vote intelligently, says apolitical Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan is guarded about sharing his views on any political party and when it comes to the new Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) the actor-filmmaker prefers to wait and watch. Meanwhile, he has urged the youth to step out and vote intelligently in the polls.

At a press conference at his residence on his 49th birthday Friday, Aamir was asked which party he is favouring and he said: "I am not supporting any political party's campaign, nor do I support any political party."

"It's a democratic country and I believe each person should take their own decision and must go out and vote intelligently," he added.

Aamir Khan speaks about Satyamev Jayate1/6

Looking fit as a fiddle, the "3 Idiots" and "Dhoom 3" actor believes the youth especially must cast their vote.

"Every person of voting age should vote," he added.

Asked to comment on Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP, Aamir said: "AAP is a new party. Let's see what they do. As I said, I don't support any political party, but if there's an important cause, we all come forward."

True to his word, he is raising various issues on his well-researched chat show "Satyamev Jayate".

Aamir had earlier lent support to Anna Hazare's anti-corruption movement.

Controversy: Is Aamir Secretly Funding Masjid Construction?

Aamir Khan
Bollywood star Aamir Khan has registered a complaint with the Mumbai police in the wake of a defamatory campaign against him on social networking website Facebook. The "malicious messages are wrong and baseless," he has said.

Aamir Saturday met Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria and Joint commissioner (law and order) Sadanand Date. The officials have assured swift investigation and action. The Cyber Cell of the Crime Bureau will investigate the case, said an official statement.

Aamir made his TV debut with Satyamev Jayate (SMJ) in May 2012 and the show, dealing with sensitive social issues like female foeticide, domestic violence and child abuse, received a warm welcome from the TV viewers after it went on air on Star Plus. Some of the episodes dealing with female foeticide and malpractices in the medical field recorded the highest ratings.

He launched the second season on March 2 on STAR India channels and handled the sensitive issue of rape, and the second episode, beamed Sunday, talked about the police force.

It has been alleged in the messages on the social networking site that when at the end of the show, Aamir asks for donations for Humanity Trust, the money is used for masjid construction assistance and placement assistance for Muslim youth.

Aamir took to his Facebook page and clarified that he is associated with Humanity Trust, Hanspukur, West Bengal, not the other Humanity Trust. "False and malicious messages are circulating through various electronic media including WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and other social media networks, alleging that donations are being sought in my television program Satyamev Jayate Season 2, in relation to an entity by the name of Humanity Trust, which is claimed to be working in the field of Masjid Construction Assistance and placement assistance for Islamic youngsters. This is entirely false," Aamir said in his March 7 post.

"I would like to clarify that Satyamev Jayate, in Season 1 was associated with Humanity Trust, Hanspukur, West Bengal, a charitable hospital run by Ajoy Mistry and his mother Subhashini Mistry. Humanity Trust, Hanspukur, West Bengal, is doing excellent work in the field of health care and provides free medical facilities to the poor."

"Please note that Humanity Trust, Hanspukur, has nothing to do with Humanity Trust referred to in the malicious messages. I would like to clarify that all donations sought in SMJ are used and channelized for entirely deserving and secular causes, contrary to the content of the highly mischievous and malicious insinuations in the messages, being circulated by vested and unscrupulous interests."

"These malicious messages are entirely false, wrong and baseless. I categorically deny that SMJ has anything to do with Humanity Trust as stated in the malicious messages or that we have called for donations in the name of the said entity. I urge the members of the public to disregard the said malicious message. Spread the love guys," he wrote. (IANS)

Mumbai: Actor Aamir Khan lodged a complaint with the Mumbai police on Saturday over alleged “malicious” messages circulating on WhatsApp and social networking sites about the source of donations for the second season of reality show Satyamev Jayate.
According to Aamir, the messages wrongly claim the donations are being sought by Humanity Trust, which is involved in masjid construction and finding employment for Muslim youth. The actor, on his Facebook page has clarified that the show is actually associated with another organisation with the same name based in Hanspukur in West Bengal, which specialises in charitable and free healthcare in rural areas.
“I would like to clarify that all donations sought in SMJ are used and channelised for entirely deserving and secular causes, contrary to the content of the highly mischievous/malicious insinuations in the messages, being circulated by vested and unscrupulous interest,” said Aamir.
On Saturday, he met the crime branch chief, joint CP where he submitted a written complaint following which a preliminary inquiry has been initiated.
“We have accepted a written application and have  forwarded the case to the cyber crime investigation cell to seek more information. Depending upon their findings, we will decide whether to register a cognisable offence in the case,” said joint CP  Sadanand Date.
Aamir has appealed to people on Facebook to disregard the “malicious” messages.

Aamir will never join politics

Aamir will never join politics

Set to launch the second season of his TV show "Satyamev Jayate", leading Bollywood actor Aamir Khan Friday said he is not interested in joining politics, and does not consider himself a social activist either.

"I don't belong to the field of politics, won't be able to do well in politics. Why does one enter politics, to contribute to the society... I can contribute to the society from where I am. This is why I would not join politics," said Aamir while interacting with women journalists at Indian Women's Press Corps (IWPC).

The actor, whose "Satyamev Jayate" has raised several social issues, also said he did not consider himself a social activist.

"I don't see myself as a social activist. An activist is one who takes up a cause close to his heart and lives with that. I an an entertainer and a creative person..." he said.

He said as an entertainer, his responsibility includes bringing grace to society and building a moral fabric.

Asked if he supports any political party, the actor said: "I don't see any such party which I feel would change a lot of things if it comes to a majority."

He however said that he liked the idea of "swaraj" given by Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party.

"I agree with their concept of 'swaraj'. This is the only party which says they people would be a part of deciding how they rule... but the reason I don't support any party is that even AAP has to be tested. I am not in a rush to support any party. Don't want to have a knee jerk reaction," said Aamir who had supported the Anna Hazare movement.

"And elections should be free and fair, who am I to influence the people," he added.

On a question on the violence against north Indians by Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, Aamir said he was against any violence or forceful shutdowns.

"Any political party which uses power and muscle in the country is wrong. Earlier during the struggle for independence, Gandhiji would say people to boycott something and they would do it voluntarily," he said, questioning use of force to stop people from leaving their houses.

"They burn buses, use violence. It just indicates hooliganism. You are just a goon. It's not got any ground support," he said.

Deepika Padukone to romance with Aamir Khan?

Deepika Padukone to romance with Aamir Khan?
Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone has worked with an array of big names; from her debut seven years ago with Shah Rukh Khan to other popular actors like Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan and Ranbir Kapoor.

The actress has since risen to the top of the box-office charts, with four back-to- back hits in 2013--Race 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express, and Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. But her wish-list of co-stars is still a long one.

"Every year I am asked which Bollywood actor I would like to work with now. I hope in the next one or two years I will get to work with Hrithik, Salman and Aamir," Deepika, had told the media at her success party which she hosted at a Worli hotel on December 21.

If all goes well, one of her three wishes is on the verge of being fulfilled. Buzz is, Deepika will star with Aamir in a film, which will be produced by Excel Entertainment, a production house helmed jointly by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. Aamir had attended Deepika's bash with his wife Kiran Rao and the two had stayed for a long time.

The makers of the project are keeping the details strictly guarded. Ritesh Sidhwani denied the development. But TOI has it that the shooting is likely to commence from July/August this year.

Incidentally, this movie will be Aamir and Deepika's second outing with Excel. While Aamir has done Talaash for the company two years ago, Deepika was paired with Farhan in Karthik Calling Karthik in 2010.

Aamir opts out of a film because of money issue

Aamir opts out of a film because of money issue
Aamir Khan
Seems Aamir Khan will have to wait a little longer for a sci-fi adventure. The actor was in advance talks with Excel Entertainment for an upcoming time-travel drama to be directed by debutant Nitya Mehra. However, the production house and the actor couldn't agree on his remuneration and commercial terms.

Says a source close to the development, "Aamir had several script narrations with Nitya. He was really impressed with the script. But eventually they couldn't reach a common ground on financial matters. It is an amicable separation between the two."

Mirror has learnt that the makers are eager to find a replacement and are in talks with other actors for the role, one of them being Hrithik Roshan. As far as the leading lady is concerned, Deepika Padukone was reportedly in talks to star opposite Aamir. But with him out of the project, it remains uncertain if she'll still be a part of the film.

Despite repeated attempts made by this paper, both Excel and Aamir remained unavailable for comment.

What to expect from Aamir Khan’s ‘Satyamev Jayate 2′

Aamir Khan
'Satyamev Jayate 2' will address issues like education of girl child, and farmers' problems, among others.

In the first season of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ Bollywood actor and philanthropist Aamir Khan touched upon sensitive issues in India like female foeticide, child sexual abuse, dowry related issues, Khap Panchayat, among others.
The issues were aptly addressed in the show and now Aamir Khan is back with the second season of the show which unnerved India like never before.
According to reports the season’s first episode is dedicated to Dasrath Manjhi, who single-handedly carved out a road by cutting through a hill in Bihar. His son Bhagirath Manjhi and daughter-in-law Basanti Devi are living in abject poverty in Dasrathnagar and now hope that Aamir Khan will tell the world the real story of their lives through ‘Satyamev Jayate’
Other issues that Aamir Khan may address in the second season of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ is about the growing farmer suicides.
aamirfarmers
The official Twitter handle of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ posted, “They are the backbone of our nation! Do we appreciate the efforts of the Indian farmer?” It further posted, “Kisaan ki unnati, Desh ki pragati.” The growing rate of farmer suicides in India is indeed a cause to worry about and looks like Aamir Khan is all set to raise awareness on the issue.
The first season of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ touched on innumerable topics related to the women of the country and it seems, this time too Aamir Khan will touch on such topics.
aamir-2
This time around Aamir Khan is likely to talk about education for girls. The show’s Twiter handle posted, “Educate a woman, Build a nation.”
aamir-4
Another pressing issue of the time is the youth of India. Even in the promos of the show Aamir Khan has emphasised on the importance of youth and as ‘Satyamev Jayate’ tweeted, “Together with the YOUth, we can bring a RevolYOUtion!” they further tweeted, “They are the nation’s future! What is your contribution to ensure they have a better tomorrow?”
aamir-1
Looks like Aamir Khan has a lot to say this time and this time he expects his audience to really ponder on the subjects he is about to discuss.
satyamevjayate-1
The first episode of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ is set for telecast on March 2 and will telecasted for five consecutive Sundays and will then return after a break.

Aamir wants Salman Khan & Katrina Kaif to get married

Salman Khan and Katrina KaifBollywood News : Aamir Khan wants to see Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif married, no we aren’t saying so. The Dhoom:3 actor made a wish at the Dhoom machale dhoom song launch yesterday.
The Khans of Bollywood are often pitted against each other. But, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan have chosen to
keep their equation different and are good friends. And, like every friend who wishes the best for their closed ones, the Dhoom:3 actor too wishes that Sallu should tie the knot soon and settle down.
Aamir expressed his concern about his single friend and told the gathered media, “I have been telling him (Salman) for so long to get married but he is not listening to me. Maybe if someone else (looking at Katrina) requests him, he may agree to it. I want to see Katrina and Salman together in real life.” That’s not all. He looked at Katrina Kaif and asked, “Have you ever asked him?” This got his heroine red faced.
Mr. Perfectionist that he is, he wanted an answer and repeated his question until he got a response from Katrina on her ex, “I am speechless. I am sorry.” We wonder what Kat’s current beau Ranbir Kapoor has to say to this, may be AK can ask him this question too.
Sallu and Kat were in a serious relationship, which ended in 2010. However, the two still remain friends. The Dabangg dude had once said, “We were friends, are friends and Katrina and I will always be friends.
” We understand that they are still good friends but that’s not what Aamir meant when he said he wants to see the duo ‘together’, did he? Has Salman expressed his innermost feelings to Aamir? Is Aamir playing Sallu’s messenger? Hmmm… We wonder why Aamir would talk about Salman’s marriage to his ex-girlfriend and was he serious when he asked Kat and Sallu to be together in real life.
Looks like Aamir was proposing the babe on his friend’s behalf, hai na? Or is this just another of the marketing genius’ ways to grab headlines for his film’s promotions. Agencies
