Isabel Kaif, the younger sister of Katrina Kaif, still has a godfather in
Salman Khan. The actor has cast his ex-flames sister in a film
co-produced by him. Directed by French director Jean-Francois
Pouliot, the film is titled Dr Cabbie and is being shot in Canada. The
film also stars Vinay Virmani and Kunal Nayyar. Isabel,we hear, has been
cast opposite Nayyar, who gained fame for his role of Rajesh Koothrapalli
in The Big Bang Theory. However, this film isnt the launchpad for
Isabel. If sources are to be believed,Salman and Katrina will produce a
project to launch Isabel in Bollywood.

Salman Khan: Small films should get fair chance

Salman Khan talks about small films.
Superstar Salman Khan feels India should aim to produce medal-winning
athletes by encouraging sports and help the talented ones to unlock
their potential through coaching.
Salman was speaking here last night at the music launch of ‘Khwaabb’,
a sports drama film showcasing the struggle of our athletes. The album
is available on Junglee Music.
“I have played all kind of sports in life like football, cricket,
swimming, skating, riding, etc. I think sports in general should be
encouraged, I feel such films will make you realize that there is no
facility for training. If that is not there.. then how will they perform
and then people say our guys are not winning Olympic medals. There is
no encouragement. I think India should buck up,” Salman said.
The film is an intense journey set in the larger, bureaucratic world
of Indian sports. It illustrates why a country with a population of 1.2
billion people cannot produce winners.
‘Khwaabb’ is the story of two such athletes and their struggle to
succeed in the cutthroat, debauched and mired world of Indian sports.
to help us personalise your reading experience.
Ask him what facilities are required for sportsmen, Salman says, “I
think equipments, coaching should be top of the line, quota for poor,
these small things make huge encouragement and difference.”
Apparently, Salman, who is supporting the film, has made some changes in it.
“I have made changes.. Its just like the pace of the film, there was
length issue so I trimmed it and made it fast paced, with background
score. It is a nicely made film with a good intention,” the actor said.
Salman associated himself with a small film like this because he believes such movies do need encouragement.
“Small films are made with passion and love. These films don’t see light
of the day. I feel these films need to be supported… our support makes a
difference. Small films should get fair chance so that they get
released,” he said.
The ‘Dabbangg’ Khan does plan to produce small films. He has launched a production house — Being Filmi — for this initiative.
Produced by Arjuna awardee Moraad Ali Khan, the film is directed by
Zaid Ali Khan and features newcomers Navdip Singh and Simer Motiani in
lead roles.
“If you are a sports lover, or a sportsperson or your kids play
sports; I can assure you that Khwaabb will relate to some part of your
own story. The story is truly entertaining and inspirational,” producer
Moraad Ali said.

Salman Khan hit-and-run case: Matter adjourned till April 8
The first three witnesses were slated to be examined today by the prosecution.
The trial in the 2002 hit-and-run case involving actor Salman Khan
did not begin today as the witnesses did not appear in the sessions
court.
The first three witnesses were slated to be examined today by the prosecution. One of them is the owner of a laundry in suburban Bandra, where the actor had run over his vehicle on people sleeping on the footpath, while the other two are panch witnesses.

Prosecutor Jagannath Kenjalkar told the court that the laundry owner
could not appear as he had been paralysed. One of the five witnesses was
not traceable, while the other had gone to Bangalore.
The judge D W Deshpande adjourned the matter to April 8 when the
prosecution would examine another set of witnesses, who were injured in
the mishap.
Salman also did not come to the court as he has secured permanent
exemption from appearance. His lawyer Srikant Shivade was, however,
present.
Sessions judge D W Deshpande had ordered a fresh trial in this case.
Although the prosecution has given a list of 64 witnesses, it would not examine all of them, according to the public prosecutor.
The prosecution had earlier submitted documents such as death certificate (of the person who was killed in the mishap) and injury certificates (of those who were injured in this case.

The court had admitted these documents after Salman’s lawyer submitted his say on admissibility of the documents.
Salman is facing the charge of running over his Toyota Land Cruiser on a group of persons sleeping on a footpath outside a bakery in suburban Bandra on September 28, 2002, killing one and injuring four others.
Salman is facing the charge of running over his Toyota Land Cruiser on a group of persons sleeping on a footpath outside a bakery in suburban Bandra on September 28, 2002, killing one and injuring four others.
On December 5 last year, the court had ordered a fresh trial on the
ground that the witnesses had not been examined in the context of
aggravated charge of culpable homicide, which was invoked against the
actor midway through the proceedings.
The charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder attracts a
10-year sentence. The actor had earlier been tried by a magistrate for a
lesser offence of causing death by negligence, which entailed an
imprisonment of two years.
The case, dragging on for over a decade, had taken a twist earlier
this year when the magistrate, after examining 17 witnesses, held that
the charge of culpable homicide was made out against Salman and referred
the matter to a sessions court, as cases under this offence are tried
by a higher court.

Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Emraan Hashmi or Jackky Bhagnani: Who is an inspiring leader?
The general elections are just around the corner. Young India is in search of dynamic leaders who can pull the country out of the relentless social and economic gloom with their awe-inspiring leadership skills. Cinematically speaking, many B-town heroes have given us hope with their incredible endeavours. Take a look at these stalwarts from reel life and tell us who can become a role model in real life too when it comes to inspiring young minds and bring about a much-needed change
With election being the buzz word, our B-town movie makers are eager
to cash in on anything that can bring about a social change, for the
better. From the baap of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan using his supernatural prowess in his forthcoming movie Bhoothnath Returns
to contest an election to bring some order in the politically and
morally corrupt society, young lad Jackky Bhagnani is eager to introduce
a movement of sorts to place India on the global map and give the
country its rightful due. And then there are two rookies- charged with tremendous confidence and incredible passion-who are all set to do a pardaahfash and to set the country in order with their might as journalists. Yes, Atul Agnihotri’s forthcoming movie O Teri will see duo Bilal Amrohi and Pulkit Samrat unearthing some shocking scams.
Take a look at these onscreen leaders who gave us a cinematic hope with their heroism and tell us who inspired you the most?
Amitabh Bachchan in Bhoothnath Returns:
With his towering personality, megastar Amitabh Bachchan will unleash
his funny as well as intimidating streak in the sequel to 2008
horror-comedy Bhoothnath. As the friendly neighbourhood ghost,
Big B’s Bhoothnath will be seen fighting the elections. His helpful
presence will be seen only by children while adults remain blind to his
magnanimous personality. Mr Bachchan will employ his rich baritone, his
tall frame and the generosity of his ‘spirit’ to best effect to deliver
justice.
Jackky Bhagnani in Youngistaan: The young
dude brings the energy and perspective of the youth with his personality
for positive changes India has been craving for long now. A young and
dynamic leader with a vision to build India is what the country needs
and Jackky is playing a strong character in his forthcoming release
Youngistaan. The lad wants to put India on the map with his zest and
meticulous planning.
Amitabh Bachchan in Satyagraha: The veteran played a Gandhian in Prakash Jha’’s political drama Satyagraha.
Big B might have played a traditionalist who walks the path of truth
and honesty, but he is equally modern with his approach when it comes to
fighting against the system to clean up the mess. He uses the power of
social media to spur a political movement that snowballs into a
corruption hatao aandolan. But the path to a clean and corruption-free
state is straddled with many challenges, dirty politics and blood-bath.
And yet the veteran actor chooses to fight till he takes the battle to
its logical conclusion.
Salman Khan in Jai Ho: The Being Human
actor upholds some really inspiring qualities in real life. We all know
that Salman is kind, generous and compassionate. The 48-year-old took a
leaf out of the book on his own life, so to say, to portray an ex-army
officer in Jai Ho who is on a mission to create a chain of goodness for
the betterment of humanity.
Emraan Hashmi in Shanghai: Dibaker Banerjee’s Shanghai
traced corruption in India at its regressive best, masquerading in the
garb of economic progress. Emraan Hashmi played the pot-bellied,
30-year-old Rajput struggling to make a life, resorting to the easy way
out as a porn videographer. But the sudden transformation in his grey
character-when Hashmi decides to take on the system with all his worth
was jaw-dropping. It simply showed the might of a commoner who can turn
things around if something within him gets stirred.

Aamir wants Salman Khan & Katrina Kaif to get married
Bollywood News : Aamir Khan wants to see Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif married, no we aren’t saying so. The Dhoom:3 actor made a wish at the Dhoom machale dhoom song launch yesterday.
The Khans of Bollywood are often pitted against each other. But, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan have chosen to
keep their equation different and are good friends. And, like every friend who wishes the best for their closed ones, the Dhoom:3 actor too wishes that Sallu should tie the knot soon and settle down.
Aamir expressed his concern about his single friend and told the gathered media, “I have been telling him (Salman) for so long to get married
but he is not listening to me. Maybe if someone else (looking at
Katrina) requests him, he may agree to it. I want to see Katrina and
Salman together in real life.” That’s not all. He looked at Katrina Kaif
and asked, “Have you ever asked him?” This got his heroine red faced.
Mr. Perfectionist that he is, he wanted
an answer and repeated his question until he got a response from Katrina
on her ex, “I am speechless. I am sorry.” We wonder what Kat’s current
beau Ranbir Kapoor has to say to this, may be AK can ask him this
question too.
Sallu and Kat were in a serious relationship, which ended in 2010. However, the two still remain friends. The Dabangg dude had once said, “We were friends, are friends and Katrina and I will always be friends.
” We understand that they are still good friends
but that’s not what Aamir meant when he said he wants to see the duo
‘together’, did he? Has Salman expressed his innermost feelings to
Aamir? Is Aamir playing Sallu’s messenger? Hmmm… We wonder why Aamir
would talk about Salman’s marriage to his ex-girlfriend and was he
serious when he asked Kat and Sallu to be together in real life.
Looks like Aamir was proposing the babe
on his friend’s behalf, hai na? Or is this just another of the marketing
genius’ ways to grab headlines for his film’s promotions. Agencies
