At the official press event of Mobile World Congress taking place in Barcelona, Huawei has released its new MediaPad M1 tablet with an 8-inch screen looks like a stretched out HTC One.
The new tablet features an 8-inch IPS
display with a 1280 x 920 pixel resolution (197ppi) covered with two the
front-facing speakers with micro-drilled grilles benefit from DTS. The
setup will surely benefit during watching movies for better sound
output.
The tablet runs with a 1.6GHz quad-core
chip with Android 4.2 skinned with Emotion UI. The tablet has
a 1-megapixel front camera and a 5-megapixel main camera, all packed in
a 7.9mm thick body which weighs 329 grams. There’s also reverse charging
and you’ll be able to charge your phone or other device with the
tablet’s built-in battery. There’s a 4800mAh battery which Huawei says
will be good for 24 hours of use, or watching 8 movies.
The Huawei MediaPad M1 will be available
in both white and titanium colour schemes. It will launch in various
countries during the Q1 2014 and its announced European price is €299.
